How to Use JellyFish Lighting for Security Lighting

Security lighting is a great way to deter intruders and light up security cameras, but finding elegant security lighting has long been a battle that few have won. Luckily, JellyFish Lighting can not only be used for accent lighting and holidays but also for security lighting that is hidden during the day. A fun way to use security lighting is to set accent or holiday lighting from sunset until 10 pm then set all bright white security lighting from 10 pm to sunrise.

Turn every light on for maximum brightness

  1. Select the “List” page at the bottom.

    • Select the zone you want playing at the top of the screen in the app. Have the toggle switch turned on and the box checked.

    • Select the “Warm Cool” category on the “List” page.

    • Press the “Play” button to the right of the category to turn on the color.

    • Tp adjust the color, click the adjust button to the left of the play button and change the RGB by using the sliders.

    • To save this new color, press the “Save” tab at the top, select a name and a category, and click “Save”.

Turn only some lights on

  1. Select the “Accent”

  2. Select the zone you want playing at the top of the screen in the app. Have the toggle switch turned on and the box checked.

  3. The light selected will be blinking. To change the light selected, click the - and + buttons. To set a light to be on, click the “Set” button.

  4. Once you go through and set all of the lights you want on, you can adjust the “Accent” and “Background” colors. The “Accent” color is the color of the selected lights, and the “Background” color is the color of the unselected lights. To adjust these colors, click the box below. You can create a custom color using the slider or choose a primary color.

  5. Once you have the lights and colors selected, click “Save” at the top, choose a name and category, and press “Save”.

Set a daily timer for your lights to turn on and off automatically throughout the week

  1. Go to the “Schedule” tab at the bottom of the app.

    • Click the “Daily” tab in the top left.

    • Click “+ Event” in the top left.

    • Select the pattern you would like to come on using the “Select Pattern” drop down menu.

    • Select the zones you would like the pattern displaying on.

    • You can preview the pattern and zone you selected by pressing “Start Preview”

    • Select the days you want the timer set for (blue is selected).

    • Select the start and stop times by sliding up and down (white is selected).

    • Press “Save” in the upper right corner when finished.
